Spartans Regulations updated 17/08/2009

Rules and Regulations

We will keep this simple and to a minimum so there is no chance of anyone misunderstanding. We use a two tiered approach covering social and competitive gaming.

Forums:

1) You will not use avatars or signatures that are deemed offensive.

2) You will keep your messages tactful and on topic

3) You will NOT abuse members, of either Spartans FPS or Realms of Grey - If you have a complaint speak to Shadow( Spartans realms of Grey) or Druss (Spartans FPS) regarding your grievance.

Ventrilo:

1) You will not abuse other people in Vent.

2) You will not spam Comment - Comment is meant to be used for important information only. Conversations in comment should be done in Chat instead

3) You will not play music down Vent

4) You will not try to "drown" out another person by chatting over them

5) Guest are to stay in the guest channel. Although they can be moved down for introductory reasons or because your game requires voice communication. It is not to become a habit. Any guest that returns frequently must either join Spartans FPS or Realms of Grey or remain in the guest channel.

Membership:

Trialing social: Can take up to 30 days.

1)   We need to determine your compatibility with the current membership and in game behavior.

2)   To become a member you need to check forums (posting is highly recommended), use Ventrilo and be seen gaming at least a twice a week.

Trialing competitive: As in points 1 and 2 under trialing social. There is no time limit.

1) There are two competitive teams, Barracks one and Barracks two ( 1st and 2nd Squad is acceptable )

2) Barracks one is the home of the best and most committed members, Barracks two is no less committed but is the stepping stone to 1st Squad

3)   We need to determine your skill level; your ability to be available most days of the week to scrim or war and your reliability.

4)   Must reply to every post that involves wars or scrims regardless if you can or can’t make the match.

5)   Learn the basic team strategies.

6) EVERYONE TAKE NOTICE : If you don't show up for a week with out giving notice you'll be moved to social. This includes members

In Game - Public:

1) You will not abuse players - Verbally or through text. This does not mean you can’t reply in kind if you or our community is attacked.

2) You will not swear excessively - While sometimes it occurs, please keep in mind that not everyone is an Adult and some people do have kids around.

3) You will provide a helping hand to your fellow members if they need it.

4) Map exploits and/or cheating in any way is not on. If caught you will be kicked and publicly shamed.

In Game-Competition

1)   As above in public.

2)   Clear and concise communications.

3)   No raging, moaning and or bitching. You can leave that until after the match.

4)   You will be ready and in Ventrilo 30 minutes before the commencement of the match.

5)   If you fail to turn up without reasonable prior warning you can be removed from the team.

Decision Making Process

1) All decisions involving this community are voted on. Every member is entitled to one vote.

2) If a decision must be made quickly it will be done by the leadership and then voted on at a

   later date.

3) In the event of a tied vote or a decision that has divided or inflamed the community the

   Strategos will have the final say. This will be final and the matter considered closed.

Web Site and game servers are provided by member’s donations. If you can help in any way it would go a long way to keep this community together.
